Andrew Pancotti is a respected figure in the Fresno athletics community, currently serving as the head football coach at McLane High School. Since taking over the Highlanders program in 2021, he has been credited with revitalizing the team, leading them to notable milestones such as their first victory over Sunnyside in years. Holding a 37-13 record. Winning Battle of Cedar 42-0 last year and 5 time winner of Battle of Revolution
Playing Career Highlights
Before his coaching career, Pancotti was an accomplished multi-sport athlete:
- 2007 City/County All-Star Game: Following a standout high school career, Pancotti was selected to play in the prestigious City/County All-Star Game in 2007. His involvement in the game has come full circle, as he recently served as a coach for the City team in the 2024 matchup.
- High School: At Clovis East High School, he was an All-Valley performer in both football and track. He was a dominant pole vaulter, setting a school record of 15-7 and winning two Valley championships.
- College Athletics: He continued his athletic career at Fresno State, where he won the 2007 WAC Championship in the pole vault with a mark of 16-2.75.
Andrew Pancotti has experienced a meteoric rise during his tenure at McLane High School, transforming a struggling program into a dominant force in the North Yosemite League (NYL).
Coaching Record at McLane
Pancotti took over the Highlanders in 2021 and has consistently improved the team's standing each year, culminating in a historic 2024–2025 season where the team reached its first playoff win since 1995. He was named the 2025 NYL Coach of the Year following a "3-PEAT" of coaching excellence and back-to-back league championships. Currently on 15 game win streak in the NYL!
